Quartet extended – import players stay with ice hockey champions Salzburg

The Eisbullen fixed the contract extension with four top performers. Since the beginning of their time in Salzburg, the Legionnaires have only been used to the championship title. Veteran Genoway shone on offense last season.

The import players Chay Genoway, Tyler Lewington, Dennis Robertson and Ryan Murphy will also be on the ice for ice hockey league champions Salzburg next season. As the three-time champion announced yesterday, the quartet have extended their contracts. While Genoway, Lewington and Robertson are entering their third seasons, it is only Murphy’s second. All four are winners and know nothing in Salzburg other than the championship title. The veterans are also among the top performers. Especially Genoway. The 37-year-old Canadian scored eleven goals, the most of any Salzburg defender last season and was the league’s fourth-best goalscorer. With 176 games, the 31-year-old Murphy has Salzburg’s most NHL appearances to his name and was Salzburg’s fifth best scorer in 2023/24.
