Queen Camilla: She’s back at work

Queen Camilla, 76, has returned to work after her Easter break. The wife of King Charles III, 75, as patron of “SafeLives”, received four young employees of the charity at Buckingham Palace in London. According to the Daily Mail, they talked about ithow young people are affected by violence and abuse in the home. The non-profit organization “SafeLives” is committed to the fight against domestic violence. A topic that has also been close to Camilla’s heart for a long time.

The women that Camilla greeted are between 14 and 20 years old. Through “SafeLives” they want to promote healthy relationships among young people. The group previously met British Education Minister Gillian Keegan, 56, to call on the government to make changes to the curriculum. The women advocate that relationships and sex education become a topic in class at a younger age.

Camilla and Charles took a break in Scotland

Camilla took a break from her royal duties over the Easter period. Together with King Charles, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment, she traveled to Scotland, among other places. The royal couple celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary at Birkhall, on the royal Balmoral estate in Aberdeenshire.

According to British media reports, the king appears to be doing well after his cancer diagnosis. On Easter Sunday he appeared beaming at the Easter service together with his wife Camilla and other family members. In front of St. George’s Chapel in Windsor he shook hands with those waiting. If their health continues to improve, the royal couple could even set off on a longer trip abroad in October. Australia and New Zealand are on the program.
