Queen Charlotte – A Bridgerton Story: Is the spin-off as erotic as the Netflix series “Bridgerton”?

QUEEN CHARLOTTE: A BRIDGERTON STORY

The spin-off “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story” tells a romantic love story like the Netflix series “Bridgerton”. But is the drama just as erotic?

  • The Netflix series “Bridgerton” is about love and eroticism.
  • Due to the many intimate scenes, the drama was therefore classified with an FSK “from 16 years of age”.
  • The spin-off Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is also going to be romantic, but will it be just as hot as the main series?

When you think of “Bridgerton,” you think of hopelessly romantic moments between two lovers. But the Netflix series also gets down to business. Love and eroticism are a big part of historical drama.

“Bridgerton” does not skimp on its charms and shows countless nude and sex scenes. The Netflix production follows the book template, which also comes up with a high degree of eroticism. Since “Bridgerton” doesn’t do things by halves, the FSK has classified the series as “over 16 years of age”.

“Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story” follows a similar path. In the “Bridgerton” spin-off, Queen Charlotte and her husband King George are also intimate on several occasions. The trailer for the series showed us that.

The royal couple is trying to father an heir to the throne. But not only that will tempt George and Charlotte to sleep together. What is initially only a duty seems to please the two at some point more than just a little.

But the spin-off is less explicit than “Bridgerton”, which is why the series has received an FSK 12 rating. Her plot focuses on other issues, such as the mysterious illness that is clouding the king’s mind. The struggle for equal rights for the black population in England is also given more space than erotic sex scenes.

That doesn’t make the series any less heartbreaking, however, as instead of just trying to keep a monarchy alive, Charlotte fights for her husband’s love. Charlotte’s unconditional love is all the more impressive when you know the couple’s future, which we are shown in ‘Bridgerton’.

So if you’re looking for big feelings, you won’t be disappointed in “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”. The only thing we have to do without is the eroticism, although this could become significantly more in a potential second season.
