The Queen is allowed to celebrate again and invites the family to do so. But the public should see the monarch again soon.

Queen Elizabeth II (95) seems to be doing better. The monarch had recently stepped down on the advice of doctors. Now she has reportedly invited her entire family to a Christmas party. According to the Daily Mail, she wants the party organize before the holidays. She could also make a public appearance in the run-up to Christmas.

According to the report, the doctors have given the go-ahead for the 95-year-olds’ private pre-Christmas party. Allegedly all members of the royal family are invited. The traditional celebration was canceled due to the corona pandemic last year. Unlike in previous decades, the festival is now to take place for the first time at Windsor Castle, the main residence of the Queen, and not at Buckingham Palace.

Christmas with a small group in Sandringham

The 95-year-old will also record her annual Christmas message in Windsor in the run-up to Christmas. Elizabeth II will then travel to her property in Sandringham, where, as every year, she spends the festive season.

It will be her first Christmas without her husband Prince Philip (1921-2021), who died in April at the age of 99. According to media reports, the Queen will be surrounded by her immediate family. Heir to the throne Prince Charles (73) with his wife, Duchess Camilla (74), as well as Prince William (39), Duchess Kate (39) and their three children Prince George (8), Princess Charlotte (6) and Prince Louis (3) Pay a visit to the head of the family. Prince Harry (37) and Duchess Meghan (40) are said to be celebrating with their two children Archie (2) and Lilibet (six months) in their adopted home of California.

Back to the public?

In addition to family celebrations, palace staff are also reportedly looking into opportunities for the Queen to appear in public within the next two weeks. According to the Daily Mail, an insider said this should bring a little joy to people in these troubled times.

Most recently, the Queen’s state of health and various cancellations of appointments made headlines. In October she was in the hospital for “preliminary examinations,” the palace announced. Then there was talk of a sprained back. The doctors ordered her to rest. She had to cancel her participation in the Remembrance Sunday commemoration in mid-November at short notice. Shortly afterwards, however, she was present at the christening of her two great-grandchildren at Windsor Castle. Princess Eugenie (31) and Zara Tindall (40) have their sons, August Brooksbank (nine months) and Lucas Tindall (eight months), baptized in the All Saints Chapel in the palace area. And the Queen has also attended other appointments at Windsor Castle in the meantime.
