Is she “too proud” to appear in a wheelchair?

Has Queen Elizabeth II canceled appointments because she doesn’t want anyone to see her in a wheelchair? This is now claimed by an alleged friend of the Royals.
Queen Elizabeth II (95) celebrates her 96th birthday in April and her platinum jubilee at the beginning of June. At the same time, concerns about the state of health of the monarch are growing. For some time she has been working exclusively from her main residence, Windsor Castle. Because nobody should see that she is dependent on a wheelchair? At least that’s what an alleged confidant of the royals claims.
British actor Christopher Biggins (73) is said to be a friend of the royal family. He now speculated that the Queen canceled performances because she doesn’t want people to see her in a wheelchair. According to media reports, he said at the GB News broadcasterthat the worries before the anniversary celebrations are great because they will take place soon.
“She is very proud”
Biggins further claims, “I’ve heard that the reason she’s canceling a lot of the events she’s supposed to be doing is because she’s in a wheelchair.” He added: “She doesn’t want to be seen in it because she’s very proud. She’s been like that her whole life.”
Former MP Gyles Brandreth (74) raised similar rumors on the ITV morning show. “She doesn’t like the idea of being seen in a wheelchair in public,” he said. The Queen admired her husband Prince Philip (1921-2021), he explained. Before he died in April 2021 shortly before his 100th birthday, he is said to have always been “very proud” of his excellent posture and trained every day.
The monarch should use her sister Princess Margaret (1930-2002) as a negative example. At the end of her life, she was often photographed in a wheelchair. The Queen wants to avoid that, they say. There have already been some critical comments on social media following the claims as to what the monarch’s alleged views mean for people confined to wheelchairs.
Wheelchair lift for country estate?
A few days ago there were reports that Elizabeth II would like to spend more time at her country estate in Scotland and that it is currently being upgraded. Before moving into Craigowan Lodge, a rustic stone house near Balmoral Castle, get loud there “The Sun” reportedly planning to equip it with a £20,000 special wheelchair lift.
With this she could easily get to her bedroom in a wheelchair without having to use the stairs. The reason for the wheelchair-accessible conversion is the current limited mobility of the Queen. The insider says she’s currently dependent on a cane and hasn’t been able to walk her beloved corgis recently.
