The Swedish royal family was also present at the presentation of the Nobel Prizes. Queen Silvia in particular drew attention to herself.

The Nobel Prize ceremony is a prestigious event, not least because of the visit by the Swedish royals. At this year’s award ceremony in the Blue Hall in Stockholm, Queen Silvia of Sweden, 77, stood out in particular and attracted everyone’s attention with her elegant velvet dress in dark blue.

The floor-length robe with long sleeves impresses with lace applications in various pastel tones and beautiful ornamentation. The queen skilfully combines a velvet clutch and matching pumps, also in a dark blue, with the cuddly soft dress. She wears her hair open as usual. Her jewelry is not intrusive, but another highlight: With the teardrop-shaped earrings, Silvia brings another color accent to her look. The red gemstones flash out again and again and loosen up the dark blue look.

Queen Silvia appeared accompanied by her husband, King Carl XVI. Gustaf, 75, on the award ceremony. He kept his look classically chic with a black suit and blue tie. Crown Princess Victoria, 44, also attended the ceremony together with her husband Prince Daniel, 48. She chose a black satin dress with a Carmen neckline and three-quarter sleeves by Pär Engsheden, combined with black patent leather pumps by Gianvito Rossi and a clutch by Judith Leiber. Her Daniel appeared, as did King Carl XVI. Gustaf, in a black suit and blue tie.
