A month before the Meta Connect conference, the star of the event, the VR headset Quest Pro has already leaked.

The new high-end product of Mark Zuckerberg’s group would indeed have been unpacked and unveiled in all its glory by Ramiro Cardinas on Twitter.

Unpacked a month in advance

It was supposed to be the heart of the Meta Connect conference expected on October 11, but a user has already obviously managed to get his hands on the famous Project Cambria, also called Meta Quest Pro.

If skepticism is in order, everything suggests that it is indeed the high-end successor to Meta’s goose that is the Quest 2. A very similar and presumably official box testifies to this. The latest of Meta’s VR headsets, dressed all in black, appears on the video to be much thinner and lighter than its big brother with a less rough visor.

Ramiro Cardinas also presents the controllers accompanying the Quest Pro. These look relatively similar to those of the Quest 2, except again a slightly thinner design and also all black.

What’s left for Meta Connect?

Now that the piece de resistance of Meta Connect has been stale, what remains to be presented by Mark Zuckerberg and his teams? We can think of the technical specifications of the beast, although some of these have already leaked.

We should indeed expect a higher resolution compared to the Quest 2, as well as a Mini-LED display. Besides virtual reality, the Quest Pro will also support augmented reality. However, the price to pay for all these novelties will be high. We must indeed expect twice the price of the Quest 2, or even a price exceeding 1,000 euros.

Meta should also take the opportunity to put his new colt to the test on his famous Metaverse, Horizon Worlds. This crazy project of the group does not have very good press for the moment, but the work done will perhaps have a chance to shine on October 11th.
