Joyce, and a baby tiger . This family feature film makes it possible to understand the need to protect these animals.

On the occasion of the release of this film, we offer you a quiz on the tigers of the 7th Art. Can you find in which films these tigers appear?

The Tiger’s Nest deals with the conservation of wildlife and endangered species. In recent years, poaching and illegal trade have reduced the population of Bengal tigers to just over three thousand tigers in the wild, putting the entire species at risk of extinction.

This film draws our gaze to this dramatic situation and to the environmental crisis. The Tiger’s Nest makes us think about the need to have a different approach to the environment around us.

Director Brando Quilici states in the press kit: “It’s a story of love and friendship about coming of age. A film that brings together the emotions of childhood and adolescence, the difficulties of being an orphan and the dizzying adventure that Balmani undertakes.

A beautiful and epic story that reflects one of the most vital issues of our time: the conservation of wildlife and endangered species. The world’s tiger population is now reduced to around 3,900 individuals in the wild. A world without a tiger is inconceivable.”

In the feature film, Balmani takes the cub to the heights of the Himalayas to the monastery of the Tiger’s Nest. It is one of the most famous monasteries in Bhutan, and one of the most impressive sites in the Himalayas. It is known as “Paro Taktsang” in the local dialect. It is a sacred place for Buddhists, located on a cliff in the Himalayas at an altitude of 2,950 meters.
