On the occasion of International Cat Day, we decided to put these adorable furry animals in the spotlight with a quiz entirely dedicated to them. Can you recognize these seven cats seen in episodes of TV series?
Just like in the cinema, animals are omnipresent in TV series. Dogs, for example, have always occupied a special place here. We can think of Lassie the faithful dog of the 50s, the couple of dobermans Zeus and Appolon, the two dogs of Higgins in the Magnum series of the 80s, or more recently Vincent, the Labrador stranded with all the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 on the mysterious island of Lost in the early 2000s.
But other more original animals have also been seen in certain series episodes. This was the case, for example, in The Walking Dead, when a charismatic and intriguing character was introduced: King Ezekiel. A survivor first appeared in the seventh season, having proclaimed himself king of the “Kingdom”, a community with chivalrous mores. One of Ezekiel’s most defining characteristics was his pet, always by his side, a towering tigress named Shiva.
In the 80s, it was another animal that it would be difficult to name a domestic that we could meet in the series Two cops in Miami, in this case an alligator named Elvis, owned by Sonny Crockett, which presents him as the best drug sniffer on the entire coast. A big beast who has the feat of having been expelled from the university for having “bitten a piece of buttocks from the left winger of the Georgia team” according to his master.
