We show you a photo, it’s up to you to find out which feature film it is!

Specialist in suspense films since Sixth Sense in 2000, M. Night Shyamalan adapts with Knock at the Cabin, the novel by Paul G. Tremblay, “The Cabin at the End of the World”. And as usual, the filmmaker manages to hold us spellbound and surprise us.

Knock at the Cabin explores ideas related to faith and beliefs, certainties and doubt. M. Night Shyamalan describes the film as “a contemporary biblical account”.

He explains in the press kit:The opportunity to tell biblical stories that are large in scope, but set in the present day and in a contemporary context, appeals to me. The film echoes my view of the world, which is not going well, but I have the feeling that we are collectively fighting to go in the right direction.

We don’t always get it right, of course, but in general humanity is on the right path and human beings deserve a second chance. That’s my feeling.

A positive outlook on the world

Despite its initial premise, and all the disasters that arise, Knock at the Cabin does not aim to take a pessimistic look at humanity.

The director explains:I’m able to make very dark films because I have a lot of affection for people and I have a very positive outlook on the world. I am able to see the positive in all things, including the most negative, because I have a deeply optimistic approach to life.”
