In two years, they will celebrate their 30th birthday, and yet they haven’t aged a bit. Back to the best punchlines of the “3 brothers” with this quiz in seven questions.
It was at the beginning of the 1980s that Didier Bourdon, Pascal Légitimus and Bernard Campan met on the stage of the Bouvard theatera very popular program then broadcast on the Antenne 2 channel where confirmed or anonymous artists performed.
With Seymour Brussel and Smaïn, they form on June 23, 1984 a group which they decide to call “Les 5”. After the departure of the latter who does not believe in the future of this band, the remaining quartet is renamed “Les Cat car and co”.
It was shortly after that they decided to rename themselves Les Inconnus following a dispute with Philippe Bouvard, host of the show from their debut. And, as theaters begin to fill up and comedians host their own show on Europe 1 Afternoon Strangersit’s Seymour’s turn to leave the adventure.
The success is then confirmed for the trio which enjoys enormous popularity across France, in particular thanks to the broadcast in the first part of the evening on television of several numbers of their show. Strangers’ TV.
On the strength of their success, they decided to start writing their first feature film and it was in 1995 that Les Trois frères was released at the cinema, a huge box office success with more than seven million admissions.
The sequel will be more complicated for the trio who have to separate after legal attacks brought by their ex-manager, and the following films without Pascal Légitimus do not meet with the same success as the first.
