France Tv Slash is releasing the first two seasons of “Radebank”, a multi-award-winning Norwegian series this Wednesday, which follows the fate of a group of car-loving friends in a small village in the Nordic country.
What is it about ?
They are a tight-knit group of young speed enthusiasts. There is not much other than cars that interest them. GT, the leader of the group, seems to have all the charisma and self-confidence, until his girlfriend Ine dumps him.
From the outside, everything seems fine, but his inner engine begins to fail after a head-on collision with life itself.
Sivert gets into trouble by gambling and losing the chance to fulfill his dream. After a hit and run, he makes a choice he can never undo. What should you do to be happy? One thing is certain: opening up to your friends is never a bad idea, even if it sometimes seems difficult…

When SKAM meets Fast and Furious
Multi-award winning in her home country, Radebank follows a band of friends from a remote Norwegian village who spend their free time tinkering with cars and staging wild rodeos after dark.
This initiatory story offers us an introspection into the lives of these teenagers who love beer and tuning, who must gradually face the transition to adulthood and all the problems it engenders.
Between heartache, uncertainties about the future and disillusionment of an abandoned youth, the Norwegian series takes up all the codes of adolescent drama and paints a portrait of endearing and moving characters whose distress and sincerity do not not fail to arouse our interest.
If Radebank struggles a little to start, the series very quickly lays the foundations of its plot and sees its pace intensify once the first two episodes have passed.
Note that, just like for the Norwegian series SKAM, each season focuses on a different character. If the first burst of episodes follows the adventures of GT, the second focuses on Sivert, one of the young mechanic’s friends, who will be confronted with many upheavals, his catastrophic grade in the exams jeopardizing his dream of enter an engineering school.
