Radiohead: The musicians put their band on hold for a year

Radiohead's last album ("A Moon Shaped Pool") was four years ago. Until new material from the alternative rock band is released, fans will have to be patient. As Radiohead drummer Philip Selway (52) now announced, the group wants to take a break in 2020.

He told the magazine "NME": "We want to put our cooperation to rest for a year so that we can devote ourselves to other projects." However, Selway also emphasized that this does not mean that the contact should be completely broken off: "We are constantly talking and will see what will happen in 2021."

Until then, each member could pursue his solo plans. While frontman Thom Yorke (51) released his own album and short film under the title "Anima" last year, guitarist Ed O'Brien (51) took care of a project with Brazilian music.
