Spectacular series from the start of the year, Masters of the Air is the new production from the trio Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, which is part of the war fiction collection Band of Brothers and The Pacific.

This 9-episode mini-series, based on the eponymous book by Donald L. Miller and the memoirs of true war heroes, tells the incredible story of the men of the 100th Bombardment Group aka the “Bloody Hundredth” of the 8th Air American force, whose mission was to bomb Nazi Germany during World War II.

As well as being an epic and spectacular series, Masters of the Air brings together a cast of promising and rising young talents, including Austin Bulter, Callum Turner, Barry Keoghan, Ncuti Gatwa, Anthony Boyle and Nate Mann.

But there is a young actor who bursts onto the screen and stands out in the series. Less experienced than his colleagues, his face nevertheless surely tells you something. Raff Law, who is none other than the son of Jude Law and Sadie Frost, plays Sergeant Ken Lemmons, Flight Leader of his ground team, who must ensure the proper functioning and repairs of the B-17 bombers of the pilots.

This secondary but important role throughout the series allows him to shine and burst the screen. Masters of the Air should undoubtedly be his springboard which will open many doors for him in Hollywood.

Who is Raff Law?

Born in 1996, Rafferty “Raff” Law is a British model, musician and actor, born from the union between Jude Law and Sadie Frost. He developed a passion for theater at a very young age and played in several plays during his schooling but did not want to make it a priority or a career at the start of his life.

The young man still appeared in Repo Men by Miguel Sapochnik in 2010, in which he played the child role of the character played by his father Jude Law.

Rather, he first flourished in modeling, an environment in which he broke through thanks to his charisma, his attractive physique and his elegance. Raff Law notably walked for DKNY in 2014, when he was still a teenager, but also for Dolce & Gabbana during Milan Fashion Week. He has also worked with Valentino, Mulberry and Brioni.

The son of Jude Law also distinguished himself in music, more particularly as a lyricist, being part of the group Outer Stella Overdrive, with Kelvin Bueno, Amin El Makkawi and Ruby Albarn, nephew of Damon Albarn of the groups Blur and Gorillaz .

It was only from 2019 that Raff Law really tried his luck as an actor by starring in several short films, entitled “Running Man” and “Contact”.

The following year, he appeared in the iPhone short film “The Hat” alongside his father Jude Law. This short film produced during the pandemic and rocked by the music of Pete Townshend (The Who) won the Spirit Of The Festival Award at the Raindance Film Festival.

The following year, Raff Law got the lead role in the film Twist, a new adaptation of the short story Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. He played there alongside Michael Caine, Noel Clarke, Lena Headey, Rita Ora and Sophie Simnett. Unfortunately, this feature film received very poor reviews.

But Raff Law can count on Masters of the Air, already praised by the public and critics, to truly demonstrate the extent of his talent and to truly propel him to the forefront. He will also soon be starring in Janell Shirtcliff’s Newt alongside Freya Allan (The Witcher) and Josh Whitehouse (Daisy Jones & The Six).
