Rambo 6 and Expendables 4: where is Stallone in his projects?

Rambo III is broadcast tonight CStar, the opportunity to take stock of the projects of Stallone, who will be back on the big screen very soon.

Rambo, an emblematic character portrayed by Sylvester Stallone, has crossed the ages since his first appearance in 1982 in First Blood.

The comedian has performed this Vietnam veteran green beret 5 times. The latest, Last Blood, landed in September 2019.

Did Rambo really bow out in this film or are we going to see him again? On the occasion of the broadcast on CStar of the 3rd part, released in 1988, we ask ourselves the question again.

RAMBO BACK IN THE CINEMA?

Unfortunately, it is unlikely that we will see the super-soldier on screen again. Last Blood, the last Rambo’s subtitle, was pretty self-explanatory.

However, in September 2019, Stallone claimed that the character could eventually return to the small screen, in a series that would tell the origin story of the green beret.

RAMBO ORIGINS

“I always thought of Rambo when he was 16 or 17. He was awesome. I hope they do a prequel. He was the captain of his American football team.

He was the most popular student in his school, a super athlete. He was like Jim Thorpe [célèbre joueur de football américain] and the war changed him. If you had seen him, he was the perfect guy”confided Stallone at the microphone of Screening.

Trained by Colonel Trautman, John Rambo is a relentless war machine deployed by the US military in the Vietnamese jungle. This origin story would aim to tell how the young soldier turned into a ruthless warrior.

For the moment, no project of this kind has pointed the tip of his nose. However, it is not excluded that it will be done one day given the popularity of the character.

RAMBO AMONG THE INDIANS?

As for a return of Rambo to the cinema, Stallone does not really envisage it. However, he left himself to a little confidence if a 6th part were to see the light of day. For the actor, a new story would only be possible if the soldier was found on an Indian reservation.

“It’s the only place he could go to and survive because the police can’t get in there (reservations are under federal jurisdiction). It’s the only place he could hide and heal. Otherwise, he’s screwed. “he indicated.

STALLONE’S NEW PROJECTS

Sylvester Stallone, 75, may be done with Rambo, but he’s not done with movies. We will find him on August 31, 2022 in Samaritan.

Sly camps a legendary superhero there. The latter disappeared twenty years ago following a battle that ended in terrible tragedy. But a young boy will start looking for the hero, whom he thinks is still alive.

Judging by Stallone’s teasing on social media, the film seems to fit into the post-apocalyptic genre. Like Rocky in Creed, Sly will once again take a young man under his wing, embracing his role as a mentor to the next generation even more.

Some time ago, the artist posted an image of the shoot showing him from behind, armed with a mace. The actor told us that his aging superhero character will not be there to do extras, but will indeed take part in the fight, despite his 75 springs.

The actor has also completed the filming of Expendables 4. The actor confirmed a few months ago that he was bowing out, leaving the saga in the expert hands of Jason Statham. The release date has not yet been revealed.

On the other hand, we know when the Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will land, in which Sly will resume his role of Stakar Ogord alongside Chris Pratt. It will be for May 3, 2023.

The artist also has another film project on fire: Little America, currently in pre-production. The story will take us to the future, where a president resembling Donald Trump bankrupts the United States.

The country’s debt is settled by China, with many Americans leaving for Asia to find work. In this new world, a former member of the army is hired by a Chinese billionaire to infiltrate an American ghetto and save his daughter.

In addition, in May 2020, Stallone mentioned in a live instagram a sequel to the classic Demolition Man. “I believe Demolition Man 2 is coming, we are working on it with Warner Bros. and it looks great. We should hear about it soon, it will happen”, he asserted. Two years later, still no news of this project.

STALLONE ON THE SMALL SCREEN?

Last December, we learned that the action cinema legend was in negotiations to produce and star in Kansas City, a drama series by Taylor Sheridan and Terence Winter for Paramount+.

This is Stallone’s first major role in a television series, the actor having only appeared as a guest on a number of classic series such as Police Story and Kojak in the 70s and most recently in season 2 of This Is Us.

Kansas City follows the journey of Sal, an Italian mobster from New York forced to move to the most unlikely place: Kansas City, Missouri.

The action is set in the present day and the character is on a mission to revive his mafia family in this modern and brutal city. There, Sal meets surprising and naive characters who follow him along his path to power.
