Last week, this same company Yum! Brands was the target of ransomware that affected certain computer systems. An attack that forced the group to close the doors of 300 restaurants on the UK side. At present, it is impossible to know if other markets are concerned.
The private data of certain customers in nature?
This 24-hour shutdown allowed the group to launch detection protocols to determine the origin of the incident, in particular by taking certain systems offline, not to mention the implementation of enhanced monitoring technology. Currently, Yum! Brands did not indicate which restaurants were affected, but wants to be relatively confident about the private data of customers.
