Curious by nature, Bertrand is always on the lookout for the slightest little scoop. Passionate about football, he is never far from football and all the news that comes with it. However, showbiz or political events are also part of his preferred journalistic research.

The singer Raphaël has one of the trendiest first names in France. And this has been happening since around the 1960s. As far as he is concerned, there is a very special meaning behind this choice.

The rest after the ad

On March 8, Raphaël went out Another life, his new album. This evening, the one who has just had a third child with Mélanie Thierry (the couple recently appeared as accomplices at Roland-Garros) can be found on France 2 in the show A Sunday in the countryside, broadcast on France 2. He should look back on his more than complicated beginnings in the music industry, before the immense success of his title Caravan in 2005.

We can also imagine that he will talk about more personal subjects, such as his family. In February, he confided to our colleagues at Marie Claire on his first name, and in particular on its origin: “It means ‘God heals’, and my surname, Haroche, means ‘the head’. So, in summary, my name is ‘God Heals the Head’. This first name was not chosen by chance: my parents gave it to me after losing a child.

Raphael and the education of his sons

Quite a revelation from the 48-year-old artist who is very proud of his first name. In this interview, he also answered the following question: “What is the most beautiful look that has been given to you?” His answer : “That of my children on the day they were born. It’s the most moving look I’ve seen in my entire life, by a long way.“His sons Roman and Alyosha were born in 2008 and 2013 respectively. He spoke about them in 2021, in 50′ Inside.

And in particular on what he wishes for their future: “There are a lot of children of artists like that, who are put into artistic professions, things like that. I really wish they would study. I raise them. They play the piano. They play music. We tell them poetry.“Reading is also something he wants to pass on to them:”I should tell my son, even if you don’t do well enough in school: ‘Read books. I have the impression that all the intelligence I have had at times in my life, if I ever had any, came from books.” Rare confidences.
