Rumor has it that Disney is working on a remake of “Rapunzel” in which the male lead character is voiced by “Shazam!” star Zachary Levi… who would also like to star in this potential remake!

As Zachary Levi (Shazam!, Chuck) recently revealed at the Chicago Fan Expo (via FilmStarts), he, too, is aware of the rumors of a possible remake that would star the Oppenheimer and Black Widow star, Florence Pugh, in the title role.

And as he confessed on stage, he could well imagine himself playing the endearing daredevil thief Flynn Rider for real, the man who dubbed (voice and song) the character in the 2010 original. , it would be even more perfect to play against Florence Pugh since his full name is actually Zachary Levi Pugh!

But is it really possible that Zachary Levi takes on the male lead role in the potential live action, as does Dwayne Johnson before him ? The chances here are rather low since Rapunzel hit our screens 13 years ago, and the actor, now 42, would be a bit too old for the clearly younger role, at least in the original – especially if it’s actually playing in front of Florence Pugh, 27 years old. Also, in this case, it would be a bit odd for him to reprise his role but not his then-co-star Mandy Moore.
That said, one can imagine that the Levi-Moore duo could make an appearance in the film, as other original voice actors have done in many Disney remakes (eg Ming-Na Wen in Mulan). In the role of Rapunzel’s parents perhaps? We can dream !
