From March 1 to April 19, 2023 inclusive, Canal+ offers the Rat+ offer, reserved for people under the age of 26. It includes the basic Canal pack, as well as the Disney+, Netflix, OCS and Paramount+ streaming services. Hang on: all this for less than €20 per month.
All about the Rat+ offer
This Rat+ offer, which uses the popular expression “to be a rat” (stingy, stingy) is the latest marketing move by the French encrypted channel to compete with its North American rivals. And this one has arguments to make: a slew of services – therefore of films and series –, a price that defies all competition, and above all no commitment.
The proposal thus includes the channel’s basic pack (Canal+ and the Big Screen, Sport 360, Series, Docs and Kids channels) and content from its myCanal streaming platform, as well as Disney+, Netflix, OCS and the recent Paramount+.
In total, there are therefore more than 12,000 films and 5,000 series available to people under 26, at the exceptionally low price of €19.49/month. The subscription is accessible on smartphone, tablet, computer, Smart TV, Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, consoles, Chromecast and AirPlay… Small problem, it is not via the TV boxes of operators such as Orange, SFR, Free or Bbox.
By way of comparison, this same offer (Canal+ Ciné Séries) is offered at €38.99/month for people over 26 years old. An already interesting price if we take into account the cumulative cost of these streaming services which, taken separately, would be more than 60 € / month.
