Rated 4 out of 5, this series with corrosive humor will soon be adapted in France

This series which was all the rage in England will soon be adapted in France and you shouldn’t miss it!

Great news for fans of English humor! TF1 and Disney+ are joining forces for the very first time to produce the French adaptation of Ghosts. Broadcast for many years on BBC One in England, this series is a little gem that may well appeal to French audiences.

Launched in April 2019 on the English channel, it has five seasons of six episodes each. Its immense success also pushed the American channel CBS to produce its own version of Ghosts across the Atlantic. Already renewed for a season 4 last March, the television show has achieved real audience records.

Carried by Rose McIver (iZombie) and by Rebecca Wisocky (Devious Maids), the first season is currently available on TF1.

It is therefore not surprising to see TF1 and Disney+ interested in this sitcom with corrosive humor. But then, what is this series about? According to the press release, “Ghosts is about a group of ghosts who live together as best they can in the Château de Mérudeaux.”

“Their ‘peaceful death’ is disrupted the day Alison and Nabil, a couple who have just inherited the place, arrive with the firm intention of transforming it into a hotel” But the ghosts have no intention of letting this happen and this will give rise to some serious twists and turns.

Camille Chamu and Hafid Benamar will play the main characters

In the casting, we will find faces well known to the French since Camille Chamou (La Flamme), Hafid Benamar (Un astonishing Noël), Natacha Lindinger (Sam), Fred Testot and even Camille Combal will be there! A poster which should attract a good number of viewers in front of their small screen.

Ghosts will arrive in 2025

Scheduled for 2025, the series will be offered exclusively on Disney+ before arriving on TF1 and TF1+ for completely free broadcast.
