Ravenswatch shows gameplay and releases a date for its early access

Farewell to the quests for immortality and divine powers of Curse of the Dead Gods. For their new offspring, Ravenswatchthe Lyon-based studio Passtech Games sets out to explore the childhood memories of rogue-lite fans to serve them up again in a dark fantasy shaker version, and with a good dose of violence as an accompaniment.

The tales of the perched raven

If you’ve always dreamed of slipping into the skin (in all friendship) of Aladdin, the Pied Piper of Hamelin, the Fairy Mélusine, Beowulf, Little Red Riding Hood and the Snow Queen, Ravenswatch is on track to satisfy some fantasies. The pitch could not be simpler: the heroes of tales and legends must unite in order to defeat the hordes of the Nightmare, by harvesting waves of ever more powerful enemies. As in any good rogue-lite respecting its specifications, you will have to advance as far as possible, improve your statistics and skills, die, then start again, ad libitum.

The graphic touch of Ravenswatch is directly in line with that of Curse of the Dead Gods, with a 3D view from above, an almost cartoonish artistic direction with strong contrasts and tons of effects accompanying the special abilities of the heroes. As for the gameplay, the studio promises frenetic action, vast possibilities of skill combinations, and a playable game in online coop with four players simultaneously.

Scheduled for April 6, 2023 in Early Access on Steam, the new production of Passtech Games will also be available “on all platforms”according to the official press release, when it launches in 2024.
