German drivers are known for quickly forming a rescue lane in traffic jams. Because this is not the case everywhere in the world, a drone should now take care of it.

In an emergency, everything has to happen quickly. The decisive factor here is often how quickly the emergency services get to the scene of the accident. In Germany, so-called “gaffers” are often discussed in this context – people who delay or even prevent the progress of the emergency services through pure curiosity.

In other countries, rescue teams often do not even get to the scene because there is a complete lack of acceptance for creating a rescue lane. The designer Yungwon Kang therefore has a technical solution in mind. He designed the “Ray Ambulance Escort Drone”, a drone that accompanies the ambulance.
The aircraft is equipped with signal horns and LED lights and flies in front of the emergency vehicle. In countries like South Korea, it is intended to replace the police cars driving ahead, which often endanger themselves during operations of this kind. Elsewhere, drones are already cleaning solar cells effectively or delivering Amazon orders to private households.
