Razer Enki Pro Koenigsegg Edition TEST: a VERY HIGH-END gaming chair at almost 1,500 euros!

It is during the RazerCon 2021so last year, that Razer announced the range of chairss gaming Razer Enki Pro. With a larger seat than the standard range Enkiwhich had the main drawback of not being comfortable for the tallest among us, them Enki Pro Since then, they have been playing shoulder to shoulder in the top-of-the-range court with the biggest names in the field.. This year, Razer pushed the cursor further in order to offer gaming chairs premium thanks to a partnership with two major signatures in the automotive world, and not the least, since it is a question of williams and Koenigsegg. It is the latter that we were able to test and here is our opinion.

A gaming chair that exudes quality

Razer Enki Pro KoenigsEgg Edition 03Upon receipt, it is necessary to provide space and have good muscles to handle the big solid box of thirty kilos that is delivered. Everything is perfectly packaged and the instructions presented in the form of a large cardboard sheet are very clear. It allows you to understand the assembly without stress and it took us a little more than half an hour, with the tools provided, to assemble the seat. Once mounted, the Razer Enki Pro Koenigsegg cannot go unnoticed with its 1.35 m height, its 73 cm width at the level of the armrests and its yellow and black look reminiscent of the seats fitted to the cars of the Swedish brand, whose name is in alcantara and relief on the top of the backrest. Top of the range obliges, no screws or articulation are visible thanks to two clip-on covers and Razer offers an impeccable finish with 5 casters on a steel star base, a class 4 jack supporting up to 300 lbs, a tilting steel seat carrier, a durable synthetic leather chair with a wide rubber bandalcantara in the center and a branded shape memory headrest cushion Razer very comfortable magnet. The seat shell is made of hard plastic with a texture imitating carbon to perfection and it accommodates the logos of Razer and Koenigsegg in relief, which is the most beautiful effect. Finally, the armrests are in classic hard foam, but they are mounted on a metal tube, which further reinforces the qualitative side.

The settings are there

The settings of the Razer Enki Pro are there to allow an adjustment as close as possible to our morphology and habits. It is thus possible to adjust the height of the seat via a lever under the seat on the right and the inclination of the backrest up to around thirty degrees via a knob on the right side. This allows you to go from an upright position ideal for working to a reclined position for relaxing. Note, the seat can rise quite high to the point, for someone of average height, to only touch the ground via tiptoe. On the left under the seat, a lever allows you to switch the seat to permanent tilt mode (painful) or simply to permanently tilt the seat up to an angle of 154 degrees which, added to those of the backrest, can even give a flat position allowing to take a good nap. The stability of the chair, even in this extreme position, was not affected during our tests. One more good point.

The Razer Enki Pro is a superb premium gaming chair that has only one small flaw, its exceptional price due to the signature that adorns its backrest.

And the comfort?

Razer Enki Pro Koenigs Egg Edition 08Without equaling that of the ergonomic seats, it is difficult, the comfort offered by the Razer Enki Pro is good, even very good. The double padding at the level of the seat and the backrest are pleasant and the central part in Alcantara provides more comfort and less heating than direct contact with synthetic leather. The 4D adjustments of the armrests (height, depth, width) allow us to really adjust the pose of our forearms to perfection. The play often encountered with this type of armrest also exists here, but in a relatively limited way compared to the different seats of the type that we tested, which is very appreciable. Finally, the headrest cushion has a shape and a texture that make it very comfortable but above all, it is adjustable to the millimeter since it is magnetic. This system seduced us by its efficiency but also by the fact that it does not “disfigure” the seat with the traditional elastic bands which maintain it. Another very good point.

A design reminiscent of a Koenigsegg seat

With the Enki Pro Koenigsegg Edition, Razer has worked on colors and materials without touching the original design of the already successful Enki Pro model.. The result is really superb, offering a classy and finally quite sober look, despite the yellow color which makes it very visible. On this subject, If, before seeing it, we had doubts about the yellow color, we must recognize that this armchair is really beautiful and irremediably attracts the eye once placed in a room.. The carbon effect of the rear hull also brings this luxury sports car side that fits perfectly with the Swedish manufacturer, including the inclusion of logos and brands in relief.

In conclusion…

So what about this Razer Enki Pro Koenisegg? Its classy sporty look, its impeccable finish in leather and alcantara will not fail to seduce and the comfort offered by the firm but double-density padding will be appreciated by gamers who spend many hours on their gaming chair.. The comfort settings are there (height, rocker, inclination, 4D armrests) and the idea of having the headrest cushion magnetized allows for an ideal adjustment very simply, which is very appreciable. In the end, the Razer Enki Pro is a superb premium gaming chair that has only one small flaw, its extraordinary price of 1499 euros due to the signature that adorns its backrest. Those who are attracted to brands in their daily lives will understand, others will rather fall back on a Razer Enki Pro Standard or one Classic Razer Enki.
