Real virgin – thousands cheered at the wreath riding in Weitensfeld

After 25 years it was that time again this year: At the traditional wreath riding in Weitensfeld, which takes place every year at Pentecost, a real virgin was kissed again this year instead of the stone virgin on the main square – as customary!

Thousands of spectators attended the Pentecost tradition. On Monday, three boys gave their all for the kiss of 16-year-old student Marie-Sophie Tatschl and delighted the numerous spectators. All in all, more than 10,000 visitors ensured the best atmosphere at the fashion show, musical entertainment, presentation of the protagonists and of course the race,” says customs expert and moderator Arnulf Prasch got Franz Sabitzer junior, who was able to convince with his speed and determination.
