Realme wanted to make a big hit this year and offer its first “real flagship”. This has now happened with the Realme GT 2 Pro! After numerous leaks about the smartphone, the Chinese brand presented the GT 2 Pro on January 4, 2022. The main thing about the flagship is that it combines solid specifications with an aggressive price tag. So it’s a real challenger for the title of value for money champion in 2022.
Realme GT 2 Pro: Environmentally friendly design
The Realme GT 2 Pro wants to be an environmentally friendly smartphone. You can also see that in the design, which doesn’t look as expected, but the Chinese have done a pretty good job anyway. The brand has teamed up with Naoto Fukasawa (a well-known Japanese designer) to create the industry’s first biopolymer smartphone back that is “based on the sustainable concept of paper art”. In practice, this only means that the back feels like paper and is made of a sustainable biopolymer material. This is manufactured in the laboratory and is intended to reduce the smartphone’s carbon footprint.
Realme GT 2 Pro: data sheet beyond doubt
The Realme GT 2 Pro has a 2K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Like every flagship from 2022, it is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which is supported by up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage space. For photography, Realme has equipped the GT 2 Pro with a 32 MP selfie camera and a triple camera module, which is composed as follows:
- Main camera: Sony IMX766 sensor with 50 MP
- Ultra wide angle camera: Samsung JN1 50 MP sensor with 150 ° field of view
- Macro camera with a 40x microscope mode.
In addition, the Realme GT 2 Pro is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery and a 67 W fast charge function.
Realme GT 2 Pro: availability and price
The smartphone will initially only be available in China, but according to the manufacturer it will soon also come to Europe. Here are the prices of the different versions:
- 8 GB + 128 GB: 3899 yuan (equivalent to around 543 euros)
- 8 GB + 256 GB: 4199 yuan (about 585 euros)
- 12 GB + 256 GB: 4299 yuan (about 599 euros)
- 12 GB + 512 GB: 4799 yuan (about 669 euros)
