Is Adele uncomfortable being compared to Rebel Wilson? The actress apparently claims this in her autobiography.
Singer Adele (35) doesn’t like it when she is compared to actress Rebel Wilson (44)? That’s what Wilson reportedly claims in her new book. When it comes to body measurements, she has to be careful with what she says, she writes, according to an advance excerpt. According to InTouch Weekly, in her memoir Rebel Rising she adds, “That’s why I think Adele hates me.”
There was a time when Adele “was stronger” and “some people confused us for each other,” says Rebel Wilson. At least that’s what she assumes because she never asked Adele, she continues, according to the report, in the book, which will be published on April 2nd.
According to the actress, the few times she and the singer met, Adele allegedly “always quickly” turned away when she saw Wilson coming her way. The 44-year-old apparently assumes that Adele simply didn’t like being compared to her.
Both artists have lost a lot of weight
In fact, the two artists have made headlines in recent years for losing significant weight. Adele spoke in 2021 in a “Vogue” interview about itthat she lost 100 pounds, or about 45 kilograms, in two years.
Rebel Wilson said, according to US media reports, that she began her career in Hollywood playing the role of “the fat, funny girl who makes self-deprecating jokes.” In the past few years she has lost more than 35 kilos.
Fuss about Sacha Baron Cohen
Rebel Wilson has previously caused a stir with her autobiography “Rebel Rising”. She apparently also blames her fellow actor Sacha Baron Cohen (52). According to media reports, she claims in her book that he behaved in a derogatory manner towards her on the film set. The two actors worked together in the 2016 comedy film “The Spy and His Brother” (original: “Grimsby”).
The 52-year-old has already responded to the allegations. His spokesman made a statement to TMZ: “While we understand the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly refuted by extensive, detailed evidence, including contemporary documents, footage and eyewitness accounts from people before, during and after the production of ‘The Spy.’ and his brother were present.”
