Model Elsa Hosk appeared at Cannes in a ball gown she described as “surreal” and “even ugly at times”.

A real eye-catcher: The Swedish model Elsa Hosk (34) appeared in a corset dress with an optical illusion on the red carpet for the premiere of “La Passion De Dodin Bouffant” in Cannes. Viktor & Rolf’s bizarre ball gown, which had to be flown in to the south of France from Los Angeles, California after luggage was lost, surprised with a double bodice. The lower nude-colored one sat close to her body, a laterally offset baby-blue corsage went over it into the light-blue tulle dress.

“A deconstructed rock ‘n’ roll version” of her first Cannes dress

The blonde was very pleased with the crazy fashionable creation. On Instagram She wrote: “I am so honored to wear my favorite couture piece (red carpet debut) from @viktorandrolf’s most brilliant ball gown collection.”

She enthusiastically added: “When I saw this dress on the runway, I was blown away by how surreal and beautiful and even ugly it looked as you twisted and turned.” Not only was it breathtaking for her, but it also reminded her not to take fashion too seriously. She also revealed that the dress was “a deconstructed rock ‘n’ roll version of the very first dress” she wore in Cannes.
