Reese Witherspoon and her daughter Ava have once again presented themselves as a stylish mother-daughter duo.
Reese Witherspoon, 47, brought a very special date to the Critics Choice Awards: her daughter Ava Phillippe, 24. The mother-daughter duo went for a twin look.
No award, but a worthy outfit
Like her colleague Jennifer Aniston, 54, Reese Witherspoon was nominated as best actress for the series “The Morning Show”. But both lost out to “Succession” competitor Sarah Snook, 36. Witherspoon made a name for herself with her stylish appearance in a double act with her daughter: She wore a black, strapless dress from Celine with an oversized bow and a high slit, which showed off her tank top. She paired it with a Celine bag, black Christian Louboutin shoes and Bulgari earrings. Ava Phillippe also opted for an off-the-shoulder dress – a black beaded mini dress by Monique Lhuillier. Like her mother’s, the shoes and bag came from Louboutin and Celine. They also chose similar styles for their hairstyles: the two wore their blonde hair open and parted.
Reese Witherspoon shared two photos of the looks on Instagram and wrote: “Mother-daughter date night.” Her daughter commented on the snaps with the words: “Best date ever.” The two women seem to get along well, and not just when it comes to optics.
Red carpet is a family affair
At the Golden Globes 2024 on January 7th, Reese Witherspoon picked up the label that her daughter was now wearing. She also looked very elegant at the awards ceremony in a black velvet dress by Monique Lhuillier with a pink satin top, combined with shoes by Jimmy Choo and jewelry by Tiffany & Co. She also came to the evening with family support; she had her son Deacon, 20, with her. “This is my first Golden Globe and really my first awards show,” he revealed an interview with “Variety”. He also revealed the top things his mother had previously recommended: “chewing gum, hand sanitizer and being nice to everyone.” He continued: “I’m following her tonight. She’s the party animal and I’m just trying to keep up.”
Ava and Deacon come from Witherspoon’s relationship with actor Ryan Phillippe, 49. The two “Ice Cold Angels” stars were married from 1999 to 2007 and were considered one of Hollywood’s dream couples during that time.
