Reese Witherspoon, 47, and Jim Toth, 53, are officially divorced. The ex-couple settled the terms of the divorce just four months after the split became known.

According to new court documents, available to the US portal “TMZ”., Witherspoon and Toth have signed an agreement to dissolve their marriage. This should also contain a care plan for their ten-year-old son. The exact details are not known. Typically, such an agreement is presented to the judge, who routinely signs it.

Separation released in March

Reese Withersoon announced in late March that she and Jim Toth had decided to end their marriage after 12 years together. The separation should be amicable.

The Hollywood actress and her partner wrote on Instagram, after careful consideration, they “made the difficult decision to divorce us.” The couple have spent “so many wonderful years” and, despite the separation, are now going into the future “with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together”.

“They really are best friends,” had an anonymous insider meanwhile told the US magazine “People”.. It is therefore clearly a “consensual decision”. The two wanted to make the split as smooth as possible for everyone in the family and are committed to continuing to raise their son together.

A week after that announcement, Witherspoon officially filed for divorce, noting that the two had a prenuptial agreement.

This is the second divorce for Witherspoon. She had previously divorced Ryan Phillippe (48) after nine years of marriage.
