The Apple online shop has grown in the form of refurbished iPhones. So far, only refurbished iMacs and iPads were available at a lower price in the official online shop, but now various smartphone models are also available. These are professionally refurbished iPhones with a new battery and the well-known Apple quality.

Apple has published a new offer in the online shop! Since February 12, 2022, the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 have been available there with the addition “Refurbished”. This stands for refurbished devices that are professionally prepared and in which hardware errors are corrected. Apple also replaces the battery and puts the hardware in a completely new case.
As a result, the smartphones not only look like new, you also don’t have to worry about possible wear and tear. And the best thing about it: You save money compared to buying a new one. For example, you can get the refurbished iPhone 11 Pro with 512GB of storage for 1,139 euros. So you save 266 euros compared to the new price at Apple.
Are Apple’s Refurbished Deals Worth It?
Let’s get to the crux of Apple’s offerings. If you spend some time comparing prices, you will quickly find that the refurbished iPhones are more expensive than from providers like refurbished. There are various reasons for this. On the one hand, Apple prepares the devices itself, which should ensure the usual good quality. On the other hand, both the battery and the housing are replaced.
As good as these additives sound, the price is still too high in comparison. For the previously mentioned iPhone 11 Pro, you only pay 729 euros at refurbed. The dealer states that the iPhone is “like new”. Both providers also give you a guarantee that is valid for more than one year.
However, this price difference also depends a little on the model. So you pay just 579 euros for the refurbished iPhone 12 mini with 64 GB of memory from Apple and thus save 100 euros compared to the original price. At refurbed you can get the same smartphone cheaper, but it still costs 497 euros here. Of course we will list the offers again for you.
So I can’t tell you whether it’s really worth it. If you don’t mind the certified used purchase and you want to rely on the usual Apple quality, then the offers are quite interesting. However, compared to other refurbished offers, you pay too high a surcharge for the price. Therefore, I advise you to make a price comparison before you buy from Apple.
