The sparrows had been whistling it from the rooftops for a long time, now it’s official: Thomas Hofer remains coach at the Salzburg regional league club SV Kuchl. “It worked for everyone,” the trainer explains the joint decision. The former master trainer of USK Anif succeeded Philip Buck and got the ailing state cup winner back on track. The Kuchler overwintered in ninth place and are only one point behind seventh place (St. Johann). This means that staying in the upper play-off of the Salzburg regional league is still possible, which the ranking entitles you to. A few weeks ago, Christian Seidl, the sporting director, emphasized that the club is very interested in a longer cooperation. And Hofer could very well imagine staying. Joint discussions have now led to the well-known result. “We made an agreement until the summer,” said Seidl. There’s nothing to shake about, even if Kuchl doesn’t reach the upper play-off of the Salzburg regional league.
