Reinsurer Scor appoints Fabrice Brgier as head of its board of directors

The reinsurer Scor announced Sunday the appointment of Fabrice Brégier as chairman of its board of directors, replacing Denis Kessler, who died two weeks earlier.

The decision was taken unanimously by board members, the group said in a statement.

A graduate of the École Polytechnique, Mr. Brgier began his career in 1986 with the Ministry of Industrial Redeployment and Foreign Trade before joining the Matra company, Eurocopter, then the general management of Airbus. He has also been Chairman of Palantir France, a services and software publishing company, since October 2018.

I have a thought moved for Denis Kessler, who has worked so hard to make SCOR a world leader in reinsurance, declared the new president, quoted in the press release of the company.

Fabrice Brgier will take over from Denis Kessler, emblematic president of the reinsurer since 2002 and figure of French employers, who died on June 9 at the age of 71.

Mr. Brgier joined SCOR’s Board of Directors in 2019.
