Rumors around the release date of God of War Ragnarok continue to ignite the Web. While the title is tipped for a launch by November, a insider had hinted that an announcement would be made on June 30 and it seems to be confirmed.

Jason Schreier’s turn to add his two cents. The Bloomberg reporter recently took to Twitter to claim that God of War Ragnarok’s release date will be announced very soon. However, contrary to what many think, it would not be a State of Play dedicated to the game or any presentation. The announcement should therefore be made via a simple post on the PS Blog, a developer diary or any other form.
You shouldn’t count on a gameplay video, however. L’insider Tom Henderson indeed corroborates Schreier’s statements while specifying that we should not expect large excerpts from the game. A new trailer rather focused on the story could however be in order. Maybe Sony is keeping a few cartridges of GoW Ragnarok to show off its usual September PlayStation Showcase, which could mark the return of inFAMOUS. We should be set tomorrow if the rumors are correct.
