“Release our children”, the cry from the heart of the young woman’s family

During an interview with BFMTV, this Sunday, January 8, Leslie’s parents implored that they “return their children”, missing since the end of November.

Their disappearance remains, at this time, a mystery. On the night of Friday 25 to Saturday 26 November 2022, Leslie Hoorelbeke22 years old, and his companion Kevin Trompat, 21, vanished in Prahecq (Deux-Sèvres), after spending the night with a friend, absent that day. More than a month after his disappearance, the young couple has still not given any sign of life. In an attempt to find their trace, Kevin Trompat’s mother-in-law, Karine Prat, organized a huntThursday, January 5, in the Prahecq sector, where they were last seen.

Leslie Hoorelbeke’s father, Patrick Hoorelbeke, as well as the girl’s mother-in-law, Émilie Cardré, did not participate in this gathering, claiming to have “little hope in this process”especially since they already had “raked the woods around Prahecq” looking for young adults. This Sunday, January 8, Emilie Cardré and Patrick Hoorelbeke gave an interview to BFMTV, in which they begged to bemake [leurs] children“.

Voluntary disappearance is “unthinkable”

Since the disappearance of their daughter, the parents of Leslie Hoorelbeke ensure to live “emotional mountains”. “We can go up in adrenaline as we can come down in sadness and despair in a snap of the fingers”, explained Emilie Cardré. Asked about the hypothesis that he favors at this stage, the couple is formal and excludes any voluntary disappearance on a whim.

“For us, it’s unthinkable. In view of the passage of time, voluntary disappearance is not even an option for usunderlined the mother-in-law of the young woman, specifying that Leslie “would not have not let the holidays pass without giving news. What Patrick Hoorelbeke and Émilie Cardré now hope is that Leslie and Kevin “[leur] come back”hoping that they are simply “locked up somewhere”and therefore still alive. Release them, release our childrenlaunched Émilie Cardré, before addressing the possible kidnappers: “S‘they want something, let them ask usbut leave our children, give them back to us.”

At present, if no lead has been able to really advance the investigation, several hypotheses have been raised in this case of disappearance, such as that of a kidnapping for financial reasons – Kevin had 10,000 euros in cash just before his disappearance – or that of a Kevin date gone wrong.
