Remnant 2: big notes and an unreleased title by Matt Heafy (Trivium)

Gunfire Games And Gearbox Publishing launched on July 25 Remnant 2, their new cooperative action shooter. A title that met with real commercial success with one million sales during its launch weekend. And the success is also critical, the press ratings are glowing, as a new trailer shows:

A very musical video, for good reason, Matt Heafy from Trivia recorded the unreleased track Wilder of the Plague on the occasion of the launch of Remnant 2, a short extract can be heard in the trailer above and the full song will be available later this year. The studios recall that Matt Heafy is a real gamer and streamerhe will also do lives on Remnant 2 after his European tour with Trivia. The musician says:

Video games and video game music have been part of my life since I was 5 years old. At that age, I finished my first game (Super Mario Bros.) and my journey then took me to RPGs like Final Fantasy, then FPS like Doom. As soon as I heard Doom’s music for the first time (I was 11 years old), I knew that my dream was to create this kind of music for video games. I didn’t even know metal yet, and I didn’t know the music in this game was metal. And now, in 2023, I’m thrilled — nay, honored, privileged, and grateful — to have been asked to compose music inspired by Remnant II to promote it. I can’t wait for you to hear this.

To support this partnership, Trivia will also offer a Remnant 2 pack with a backpack and a t-shirt with brand new artwork and logo inspired by the game. You can find Remnant 2 has €59.99 on Gamesplanet.
