The American brand Nike has renewed its equipment supplier contract with the French Football Federation until 2034, which it has held since 2011, the FFF announced on Tuesday.

“I am particularly proud and happy of Nike’s renewed confidence in the FFF. The renewal of our partnership and the agreement reached position the FFF among the very first sports organizations in the world” rejoiced Philippe Diallo, the president of the ‘instance.

The Federation did not specify the financial terms of the agreement, but the media estimated the previous contract with the comma brand to be worth between 40 and 50 million euros per year. An amount that the FFF has never confirmed.

Nike is therefore renewing its contract with the French football teams one month after having snatched the market from the German Football Federation (DFB) from Adidas, its main German competitor, for the period 2027-2034.

According to the German daily Handelsblatt, the American giant has committed to paying at least 100 million euros per year to the DFB from 2027, double what Adidas currently pays. The amount paid to maintain its partnership with the Blues could be close.

“During my election, recalls Philippe Diallo, I made a commitment to ensure the sustainability of the FFF, in all its dimensions: societal, diversity, development of high-level practice, women’s football and amateur football This partnership with Nike, with whom we share a common vision and objectives, provides us with the means to actively contribute, at least for the next decade!”

In addition to equipping all French selections, this new partnership will also include “a specific component dedicated to amateur football and referees”, specifies the FFF.
