(Boursier.com) — Another delicate session for the spirits groups listed in Paris: Remy Cointreau loses 1.3%, which brings the lag in value since January 1 to more than 23%… BNP Paribas Exane recently warned that it was still too early to adopt a positive attitude towards the sector . Enough to reiterate his preference for beer brewers… The analyst thus sees downward risks on consensus profit estimates for most of the drinks stocks he covers, “particularly in spirits”. Valuations of spirits companies “look tempting”, but the broker warns that trends in the United States are “alarming” and that there are significant risks to distillers’ estimates…

BNP Paribas Exane had also lowered the cursor on Remy Cointreau from 122 to 115 euros but remaining ‘outperformed’ on the file. HSBC meanwhile retains the title with an adjusted target of 105 to 90 euros.
