She missed her brother’s wedding because of visa problems

“Let’s Dance” professional Renata Lusin bursts into tears on Instagram. She and husband Valentin cannot travel to Russia for her brother’s wedding. In addition, the couple does not know when they will be able to see their grandparents again.
Renata Lusin: “Today is my only brother’s big wedding and I can’t be there”
Renata Lusin begins her Instagram story with the words “I’ve cried a round now” with red and watery eyes. In a detailed Instagram post, she continues: “Today is my only brother’s big wedding and I can’t be there. A happy but at the same time an extremely sad day for me.” The reason? “Because of the whole turbulent situation; difficulties in getting a visa”. Their flights were canceled at short notice and the Federal Foreign Office is currently advising against trips to Russia. And so the Lusins, who have been together for 20 years and have been married since 2014, only have a video message that they can send to Renata’s brother from afar.

Touching wedding dress tradition
In a way, the 36-year-old was still there. Because Almira, her brother’s wife, put on one of her two wedding dresses, which Renata had worn at her wedding on May 30, 2014, for the civil wedding. “It has become a family heirloom and should bring you a lot of happiness and eternal love,” emphasizes Lusin and posts wonderful shots of her brother’s wedding.
Renata does not know when she will see her grandparents again
Her mother was also there – as were her grandparents. While Renata Lusin is telling this in her story, she becomes sentimental again. Because she misses her grandpa and grandma and doesn’t know when she can see them again. Husband Valentin is the same way, his grandmother lives in the Russian city Saratov.
