Renata Lusin, 36, outshines everyone at the world premiere of the “Falling in Love” theater show in Berlin’s Friedrichstadt-Palast on Wednesday evening, October 11, 2023. “Everyone says I have the pregnancy glow,” says the “Let’s Dance” professional happily in an interview with GALA. She and husband Valentin Lusin, 36, have now reached the “halfway point” and Renata is “now five months pregnant.” And yet her joy cannot fully unfold. The miscarriages are understandably still difficult. Then the expectant mother tears up. But from the beginning.
Renata Lusin 5 months pregnant: “I’m starting to feel butterflies in my stomach”
“I’m happy, I feel in great shape,” explains Renata Lusin to GALA on the sidelines of the theater premiere in Berlin. She is pleased that everything has gone well so far and hopes that it “will continue to be that way.” “I’m starting to feel butterflies in my stomach. It’s crazy, the feeling is unbelievable,” enthuses the expectant mother. Valentin Lusin, also a professional dancer, is also overjoyed and says: “It’s a very nice time for both of us, we’re really enjoying it.”

Big gender reveal party: The Lusins want to be surprised by their gender
The Christmas month will be an exciting time for Renata and Valentin: On December 10th, the expectant parents will celebrate their gender reveal party. Only there would the “Let’s Dance” stars find out what gender their baby is. Neither of them know that yet. Things are different with her confidants. Renata reveals: “My friend already knows, she has it in the envelope.” Valentin has the feeling that it will be a boy. Until the Lusins are certain, they would call their unborn baby “little gummy bear” – also because that’s what it looked like on the ultrasound.
Later nest building for sad reasons
In December, the Lusins also want to start building their nest, i.e. setting up their baby’s nursery. However, the rather late date has a sad background. “I want to wait a little longer – until the second one Pregnancy screening [eine zweite wichtige Ultraschalluntersuchung in der Schwangerschaft, Anmerkung der Redaktion] is over. I don’t want to start building the nest too early – because of my history.” That’s why Renata can’t be “excessively happy” about her pregnancy, but rather just allow the feelings to happen “little by little”.
Renata tears up: “Never give up. Live your dream”
At the end of September 2023, the Lusins announced the pregnancy with a sweet video on Instagram. Renata became pregnant again naturally shortly after the last miscarriage in March of this year. The popular TV face dealt openly with the miscarriage and reported about it in several interviews and on Instagram. Being in public helped Renata Lusin “a lot,” she explains to GALA. She has an important message for everyone affected: “Never give up. Live your dream.” Then she becomes emotional and tears come to her eyes. And it’s exactly these emotions that Valentin loves “so much” in his wife.
