Renate Krößner (1945-2020) died on May 25th. The German actress was 75 years old. "My wife died on Monday after a short, serious illness," confirms her husband, actor Bernd Stegemann (71), the "picture". It was her birthday just a few days earlier.
Krößner has played numerous roles in the past decades, including in "Polizeiruf 110", in "Lindenstraße" and also in "Tatort". She was particularly known for her role as pop singer Ingrid Sommer in the DEFA film "Solo Sunny" from 1980. At the Berlinale, she received the Silver Bear for best performance for her performance.
