Renault ZOE: the price increases on all models of the electric city car

Renault has just reviewed the range of its electric city car, the ZOE. Indeed, a brand new finish, called Iconic, replaces the high-end Techno. Incidentally, the manufacturer took the opportunity to increase the price of all ZOE finishes. We take stock of the new prices.

Luca De Meo, the boss of Renault, announced it in October 2021: the price of Renault vehicles will increase in the next twelve months. And precisely, this price increase is beginning to materialize on certain flagship models of the diamond brand. This is notably the case of the ZOE, the Number one electric city car from the French manufacturer.

Like many competitors, Renault has to deal with ever-higher production costs, the fault of shortage of components and high raw material prices. Same observation at Tesla, which has increased the prices of its vehicles at a breakneck pace in recent months. In March 2022, the Model 3 bill soared by €10,000 in just two weeks!

But back to the diamond brand. Indeed, Renault has just announced the arrival of a new high-end finish on the ZOE. So goodbye to the Techno finish, and welcome to the Iconic finish and its golden accents on the fog lamp surrounds, the grille of the grille, the ZOE badge or even on the 17″ diamond rims.

We also find these golden touches in the cabin, near the air vents or the armrests. This version, which embeds the 135 hp R135 engineis available from €36,900. That’s €900 more than the Techno finish…

And of course, Renault took advantage of the arrival of this new Premium finish to revise the price of the other versions of the ZOE upwards. Indeed, for the ZOE Equilibre entry-level model, you have to pay €33,700 (excluding ecological bonus), i.e. a increase of 900 € compared to the previous price.

The observation is the same with the mid-range model, thewith Evolution finish and its 110 hp R110 engine. The bill rose by €600 to €34,900. Note, however, that this increase can be explained by the addition of a standard shark antenna as well as compatibility with Android Auto or Apple Car applications.
