Green electricity producers denounce a text “braking” wind and solar power in France.
With this text, the government aimed to release the deployment of green energies, at a time when France is sorely lacking in electricity. But the Renewable Energy Acceleration Bill is provoking mixed reactions from those – wind and solar developers – who stand to benefit. Some even go so far as to criticize a text “deceleration”or of “slow-down” at a time when the deputies have finished examining the draft text, which will be submitted to the solemn vote at the beginning of January.
To pass this law in the Assembly, the government wanted to rely on the center, but also on part of the Nupes – the socialists and environmentalists in particular. “To attract all these votes, we land on a law sparing points of view, but turning its back on the very sector it wants to promote”underlines an industrialist. “I don’t know how we will succeed in reindustrialising France if we block all production projects…
