Netflix has unveiled a first teaser for its live-action series adapted from the cult video game, “Resident Evil”.
After seven films in the cinema, Resident Evil becomes a series for Netflix! However, this new adaptation of the famous horror video game is not the continuation of the adventures of Alice, the heroine played by Milla Jovovich, but a whole new story, featuring young adolescent protagonists.
Expected for July 14 on the platform, the series resident Evil is supervised by Andrew Dabb, writer of many episodes of Supernatural. Its cast includes Lance Reddick, well known to fans of TheWire and fringebut also young actors Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart and Siena Agudong.
Set in the near future (2036), the series is in many ways reminiscent of the film 28 Days Later, whose plot was also set in London. Although inspired by video games, the series is not the adaptation of any part of the video game saga, but brings back iconic characters from the franchise such as Albert Wesker, one of the main villains of the license.
