It is the shortest term in British history in the UK. The resignation of Liz Truss, just 44 days after her arrival at 10 Downing Street, made headlines on Friday morning. But whoever Liz Truss succeeds, he will have a lot to do to straighten out the country which is suffering a terrible economic crisis and to regain the confidence of angry Britons.
“Nameless Chaos and Shame”
The tumble began on September 23 with the announcement of the mini budget which caused panic in the financial markets. But everything rushed Wednesday, after an honorable performance in the House of Commons, where she promises to continue to fight. Thunderbolt for Liz Truss: her Minister of the Interior resigns accusing her of failing to fulfill her campaign promises. A few hours later, a vote in Parliament gave rise to scenes of fights between elected Conservatives. Liz Truss’ authority is in shambles. His deputies fulminate.
