Nothing more logical then to see the studio preparing the development of a spin-off for the game, which is at the start itself a spin-off of titanfall.
So in the Titanfall universe?
The Dexerto site was able to spot that Respawn had updated its official page regarding vacancies within the studio. On this page, we then see the mention of a ” Apex Universe FPS Incubation Title », In other words, a new FPS which would take up the universe ofApex Legends. A curious choice of words, since the universe ofApex Legends is actually that of titanfall above all, even if this last license has been set aside by the studio.
Furthermore, this would be a single player FPS according to the studio’s description: ” This new single-player title is a developer’s dream playground with the freedom to innovate made possible by the unique universe it represents. »
Still, if a single player FPS Apex Legends was bound to happen one day, and that this is not titanfall 3, no doubt this should cause some gnashing of teeth. Unless Respawn hides the announcement of a titanfall 3 under this description, which would be equally astonishing.
