Return of extreme poverty: follow the special presidential “Forum Libé”

United world: the extreme urgencycase

Live from the Théâtre du Rond-Point, “Liberation”, in partnership with the NGO ONE, is organizing the Grand Oral of the presidential election on the return of extreme poverty all over the world. On the agenda: climate change, debt, vaccines, development aid.

This March 22, Release, in partnership with the NGO ONE, organizes a special day to question the candidates for the presidential election on the return of extreme poverty. In duplex of the Théâtre du Rond-Point, in Paris, the editorial staff is mobilizing to decipher this reality which affects more than 800 million people all over the planet. We will also talk about the war in Ukraine which will weigh on everyone’s future: the consequences in terms of migration, food sovereignty, rising prices, access to energy are already beginning to be felt, not to mention the terrible impact that this conflict will have on Africa in the long term.

Follow the Libé forum live in the video above. If the video is not showing, you can find it at this address.

So how do we continue to fight the pandemic? How can we anticipate global crises, starting with climate change, which weakens us collectively and weighs on the poorest countries? What solutions do we still have to imagine to ensure real global security and put an end to the inequalities and dysfunctions that prevent us from doing so today?

Find all our articles on this subject in the file “Solidarity World: extreme urgency”.

These face-to-face meetings with the candidates’ spokespersons will be interspersed with insights from experts and committed players who will come to decipher the challenges that await us.
