We prefer when the news of Return to Monkey Island deals with good news, unlike last July’s grim episode of harassment. And that of the day concerns its release date, set for September 19 on PC and Nintendo Switchaccording to what was declared on the stage of the Opening Night Live of Gamescom 2022.
The return of Guybrush is becoming clearer
The information is transmitted to us by Stan, a recurring character of the license, during a video where of course the characteristic humor of the saga imagined by Ron Gilbert and Dave Grossman spreads. The short video is also an opportunity to admire again the very nice artistic direction composed by Rex Crowle, but that’s not all.
Stan also tells us that Return to Monkey Island is already open for pre-order, and anyone who places one will be awarded free horse armor, which is as glitzy as it is useless.
There is therefore less than a month before we find our legendary Guybrush Threepwood and his companions, once again in the fight with LeChuck to lift the veil on a mystery that will bring us back to Mêlée Island.
