The France TV Slash platform is now releasing the first season of “ReuSSS”, an ambitious musical series carried by Charlie Loiselier, Assa Sylla (“SKAM France”) and Ines Ouchaaou.
After having disappeared for six months, Djamel, 20, returns to the city where he was born. As soon as he arrived, he was violently attacked and fell into a coma. Her little sister, Hanane, 18, is determined to find the culprit. She involves her two best friends, Ambre and Maïssa, in her investigation. Hotheaded, the three girls venture into dangerous areas.

For several years now, France.Tv Slash has been shining with its ambition and originality by launching series, each more unique than the next. After Or de lui, who saw a Ramzy Bedia laying gold, this time it was music that the platform decided to tackle by offering a musical in 10 episodes. A long and daring project that required many years of work.
Adapted from the show Square of Mythos by Catherine Régula, ReuSSS follows Hanane, Maissa and Ambre, three inseparable friends who grew up in the same housing estate in Sète. When Djamel, Hanane’s older brother, is found unconscious, they will investigate to find the culprits of his attack. Between bullshit boyfriends, intrusive parents and threatening drug dealers, they can only count on themselves.
Presented at the Series Mania 2022 festival, the series carried by Charlie Loiselier, Assa Sylla (both seen in SKAM France) and Ines Ouchaaou, who won the interpretation prize for their role, surprises with its originality and its bias. .
Like the greatest American musicals, which served as inspiration during the creation of ReuSSS, the feelings of the characters are expressed through songs specially written for the occasion, in order to transcribe their inner tumults. .
“At the time of writing the synopses, we chose the highlights and asked the scriptwriters to write the song lyrics, even if we did not keep them in the end,” explained Elizabeth Arnac, the producer of the series.
“The songs are meant to advance the character and the plot, so the lyrics needed to fit the story.” The result: 21 original songs performed by the actors who offer a modern representation of a French city and the hopeful youth who live there. The soundtrack will be released this Thursday, December 8, at the same time as the series.
If the first minutes of ReuSSS can destabilize more than one, we find ourselves very quickly embarked on this modern tale brilliantly choreographed and with catchy music. A true television UFO, the series is worth a detour.
