After being revealed in June 2023, Awakening comes to give some news with a new gameplay video and above all, a release date. The psycho-narrative thriller from Daedalic Entertainment will therefore be released on March 6, 2024 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
The video here presents the beginning of the story of Awakening
where players can follow Walter Thompson. As the man wakes up in what appears to be his bedroom, he quickly realizes that the place he is in is actually not his home at all. Rather a place where his own memories intertwine to deceive him. Walter will then start looking for his daughter Dorie only to encounter dreamlike scenes which all remind him of the Nelson Bros circus where he once worked. He will then have no choice but to try to make sense of it all before his own reality completely collapses.
In addition to the normal edition of the game, players can also opt for the Funhouse edition of Awakening. It will of course contain the game as well as 5 original songs from the title, a 41-page digital artbook, a black and white camera effect to unlock, a commentary from the developer to also unlock and finally a reminder of 5 audio pieces which will allow players to delve deeper into the world of
Awakening.
