An athlete from the Cergy-Pontoise club allegedly committed two sexual assaults at the hotel on the sidelines of the Tarare meeting on June 18, reports The Team. According to the daily, this specialist in the 400m hurdles at the national level was guilty of sexual touching of two training partners, one of whom had been drugged beforehand.
These two attacks, once revealed within the club, prompted other testimonies about comparable attacks. Six complaints were filed. The alleged perpetrator (26 years old), registered in the 5th series of the Tarare meeting, was arrested, indicted for “sexual assault with the administration of a substance to the victim without his knowledge to alter his discernment or the control of his actions”, and imprisoned in pre-trial detention.
Through the voice of his lawyer, he denies the facts.
